Here are the most common problems we see:
- Lack of horsepower
- Failing pumps
- Oversized/undersized pump
- Clogged pump lines
- Wells that are too shallow
- Pressure tank leak
Many of these problems are because of improper installation and maintenance. If your pump is running frequently or shutting off intermittently, the failure may be due to additional appliances or family members, which can overwhelm your well pump.

During your service appointment, we will assess your well, well pump, storage tank and all pipes leading to your home to determine the condition of your well system. We will provide a quote that includes upfront prices and several different options for returning your well pump back to working order.
Having your well pump inspected by our plumber can help:
- Reduce energy costs

- Increase pump efficiency
- Identify potential future problems
Maintenance is essential to keeping your pump reliable in providing your home with enough water for years to come.
Is It Time for a New Well Pump?
Your well pump is one of three types, shallow jet pump, deep jet pump or submersible. For wells that are less than 25 feet deep, a shallow jet pump is ideal while deeper wells typically use a deep well jet pump. In the event that your well is hundreds of feet deep, you will need a submersible pump. Each type of pump has several different horsepower options and GPM ratings. Typically, for every fixture or appliance that uses water, you will need 1 GPM rating. Most homes of medium size use a pump with a GPM rating of 8-12 GPM.
You will need a new pump if you have added a new family member or additional appliance or if your pump is no longer functioning. Our trained plumbers can help you determine the size and horsepower of your pump.
