Keep your boiler working reliably with regular maintenance checks
A boiler is one of the most reliable pieces of heating equipment there is. It is not at all unheard of for boilers to last several decades. But even a boiler needs to be checked periodically to make sure it is working correctly. A properly maintained boiler will continue to provide years of reliable performance.
Make sure you have a professional inspect your boiler once a year, preferably right before heating season. Keep the area around your boiler clear during the winter. Don’t keep anything that could catch on fire or melt anywhere near the unit. This includes items such as aerosol cans, paint cans, papers, etc.
