Plumbing Inspection in Reading

Both sellers and buyers are often guilty of neglecting a house’s plumbing when the time comes to strike a deal. They are so intent on making the sale that they ignore the pipes that are running through and below the structure.
If you are buying a home, it is imperative that you make sure the plumbing is in the best possible shape. Nothing takes the luster off a new home purchase faster than continued plumbing problems. Most home inspectors are not qualified to look closely at pipes; they may turn faucet taps to make sure they work, flush the toilet and check to see that drains are operating. That’s about it.
A plumber, however, will go into much more detail when checking a home’s pipes. He will make sure, for example, that all shut-off valves are in proper working order, and that there are not only traps under sinks, but they are working correctly. He will look at the water heater tank to make sure it isn’t corroded, thoroughly inspect the drainage system, and will perform many other checks.
Call Essig Plumbing and Cooling today to schedule a home plumbing inspection, whether you are a buyer or a seller!
